We were 3 people, stayed in a big comfortable room with all the facilities necessary. The host is generous, passionate and kind. We had good time chatting with him. He gave us a good room with the ocean view. We had pleasant stay in Matane. The host of the motel just arrived Quebec not long ago, he is still learning French, but he has no problem with speaking English. Free parking lot provided and good excellent WIFI speed. Definitely recommended for travellers or families or friends. And also it's reasonable price to stay over night. We will definitely come back again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was coming home from Gaspé, and I needed a place to sleep overnight because I couldn't do a 19-hour trip home, plus having been up since 4am to fly out to Gaspé (super long story). This motel was close to where I'd stopped to eat. It's no Hilton, but it was perfect for my needs. The family who runs it have moved out from British Columbia only 6 months earlier, and they were really, really nice, and super accommodating to me and my need to just pass out and sleep. They put me in room 42, which was really big for my needs, but they wanted me to feel welcomed, and I was. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for an inexpensive motel bed, and the room has both a fridge and microwave. Good water pressure in the bathroom shower, and warmed up really quickly, so a great hot shower in the morning before getting back on the road and driving for another 13 hours. It was convenient, being right on highway 132, so they scored points for me right there. Like I said, we're not talking about a Hilton, but it's a good place when you're on the highway for a long trip and need to sleep comfortably with a long trip in front of you.
The owner was incredibly kind. We were on a road trip to Gaspé and experienced some delays along the way, which meant we arrived in Matane very late. Despite the late hour, the owner kindly left a clean room ready for us and even provided complimentary bottled water. We stayed there both on our way to Gaspé and again on our return — it was a perfect stop each time.

The rooms are well equipped with all the essentials, including a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker with Keurig, and a clean ironing area. Some units even offer a beautiful view of the sea. All of this comes at a very reasonable price, making it one of the best value options in the area. Whenever I am in the region, this is always where I choose to stay. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even more pleasant.
